Bio

Sayde J. Brais is a Senior Lecturer and Faculty Advisor in the Communication Studies Department.  She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Communication Studies from UNC Charlotte. Brais has been teaching undergraduate courses since 2012 and has taught courses which include Communication Research Methods, Public Speaking, Business Communications, Small Group Communication, and First-Year Seminar.  In 2017, she became the SUCCESS Learning Community Coordinator and a LEADS Program Faculty Fellow in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences. In 2019, she became a TOP Teacher in the Teachers Observing Peers Program. Brais is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Educational Leadership with a concentration in Higher Education at UNC Charlotte.
